Welcome to the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Blog!
Imagine a place where you are surrounded by 465 acres of pristine wilderness, on the edge of the Pacific ocean, in a national historic site, where an old-world castle houses state of the art learning platforms and you will
quickly get the idea of our life here at Royal Roads University.
Our students, staff, alumni, and faculty of the School of Tourism and Hospitality all have a passion for the tourism and hospitality industry and we welcome you, the reader, to share your travel and tourism stories here as well and find out about our programs at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Staff and Student Travels
We encourage our students and alumni to tell us about where they have been and what they are doing in their careers. We love to hear opinion, insights, and stories and with so many of us around the globe, it makes for very good reading about the tourism and hospitality industry!
Staff Travel Blog
Our staff travel blog tracks our faculty, students, friends and industry travels around the world! We would love to hear your travel stories too so if you’d like to submit one, please do.
This is an informal place where students blog from remote places in the world or sometimes not so remote, like the underbelly of a hotel in the middle of the night! It can often be difficult to get our interns to write home, but they do and will share some of their unique internship experiences here.
In The Classroom
Want to find out what we are learning and doing in our classroom? This is the page to read. Photos, videos, stories, guest blogs from students, alumni and faculty posts all contribute to this lively place where we share a little bit about what makes our school so unique and so special.
We unabashedly want to celebrate our alumni on this page and for those of you who have come through our programs I encourage you to submit your stories, your kudos, career updates, and life achievements or simply send us a picture–we love to hear from you! For those new to the blog, this is a great place to find out how our programs help our alumni reach their professional (and personal) goals.
